The Chamber of Shipping of British Columbia is a not-for-profit industry association that was incorporated in 1923 with the objectives of representing the interests of international ship owners through their local agency. Today the Chamber of Shipping continues to carry out the original mandate of the society but represents a more diverse group of ship operators, agency representatives and service providers.
To provide the maritime industry with a set of practical rules and experienced arbitrators and mediators in order to promote and achieve the efficient and impartial resolution of maritime disputes and claims in Vancouver.
Mitigating risks to food safety is the CFIA’s highest priority, and the health and safety of Canadians is the driving force behind the design and development of CFIA programs. The CFIA, in collaboration and partnership with industry, consumers, and federal, provincial and municipal organizations, continues to work towards protecting Canadians from preventable health risks related to food and zoonotic diseases.
